Witherspoon Partners Featured at National Conferences

Witherspoon Partners' Keith Danko and Paul Kang were invited to serve as expert panelists and moderators at several national financial conferences this fall and winter.

At the Family Office & Private Wealth Management Forum (West) in Napa, California last October, with Kang as moderator, Danko was among a panel of experts focusing on the private equity market. Topics included the prognosis for private equity markets in the US in 2015, the impact of public market volatility on investments and exits, competitive pressures from domestic and international strategic/financial investors, and evolving options for family office participation.

In November, Danko and Kang presented at the Endowment and Foundation Forum in Boston. Kang served on a panel that explored the different types of private equity investments, and private equity's role in a portfolio. Danko was a panelist for the discussion on diversification and non-correlated assets; topics included systemic risks, current trends in private equity, hedge funds and real estate, and alternatives due diligence. At the Alternative Investing Summit in Dana Point, California last December, Kang spoke on a panel about asset allocation models.

Most recently, in January Witherspoon Partners was asked to share its expertise at the 27th Annual Police, Fire, EMS and Municipal Employee Pension & Benefits Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada. This event was co-sponsored by the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO). While Kang served as a panelist discussing risk and asset allocation and how to measure, manage, and mitigate it, Danko moderated a panel on investing in alternatives — examining the role they play in a portfolio, opportunities for pension plans, and risk management.

This March, Danko and Kang will serve as panelists on financing and capital sources and foreign investors and capital, respectively, at the Opal Real Estate Investors Summit in Miami Beach, Florida.
