PRINCETON, NJ—Witherspoon Partners is pleased to announce that it has expanded its team to include two new senior executives, Jim Butler and Sebastian Man. In addition, Phoebe Outerbridge was promoted to Managing Director of the firm.
Jim Butler joins Witherspoon as Senior Managing Director. Jim has a 35-year track record in institutional fixed income sales, mortgage securities, and private placements. For over two decades he managed relationships for First Boston Credit Suisse, working with institutional clients and public funds such as BlackRock, MetLife, New York Life, Northwestern Mutual, State of Wisconsin, and the Public Funds of Ohio. Jim also held senior sales positions at Barclays, Lazard Freres, Jefferies, and most recently at Seaport Group in New York, where he served as Managing Director.
Sebastian Man is Senior Advisor to Witherspoon Partners. Sebastian, a Hong Kong native, is Chairman of Chung Mei International Holdings, Ltd., which manufactures small household appliances for major international brand names like Delonghi, Breville, and Sunbeam. Deeply involved in a large number of community/civic organizations in China, Sebastian brings experience and a network of Asian relationships to Witherspoon Partners, expanding its horizons eastward.
The addition of Jim and Sebastian follows the addition of another executive, Michael Nobes, to Witherspoon Partners. Michael joined the firm in the fall as a Senior Advisor, bringing to the firm significant offshore alternative fund experience and a strong European regulatory background. Michael previously worked for Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where for seven years he led the business development of RBC’s collateralized lending platform. Most recently, Michael founded and served as CEO of Six Bridges Capital in New York, specializing in offshore investment fund structures focused mostly in debt, real estate, and private equity.
